At Ascent Classical Academy, we are committed to fostering a respectful and collaborative partnership with families.
We understand that questions or concerns may arise from time to time. Our grievance process is designed to ensure concerns are addressed fairly, thoroughly, and at the most direct level possible.
Most concerns can and should be resolved within the school community. We encourage families to first work directly with the staff members who know their child and situation best.
How to Address a Concern
Please follow these steps if you have a concern:
- Teacher: Begin by scheduling a meeting with your child’s teacher through the front office. Teachers are most familiar with your child’s situation and are often able to resolve concerns quickly.
- Campus Leadership: If the concern is not resolved with the teacher, you may contact Mrs. Christina Holzer, dean, or Mr. Ryan Mullins, headmaster, to schedule a meeting.
- Ascent Classical Academies Leadership: If a satisfactory resolution is not reached at the school level, you may submit a written grievance using the File a Grievance Form. This form is routed to the leadership team at our management organization, Ascent Classical Academies.
- Ascent Classical Academies South Carolina Governing Board: If resolution is still not achieved, instructions for next steps will be sent following step 3.
