Meet Our Team: Mrs. Jenna Vogel

Mrs. Jenna Vogel
FOURTH GRADE

We are delighted to welcome Mrs. Jenna Vogel to the Ascent Classical Academy faculty, where she will serve as a Fourth Grade Teacher for the upcoming school year.

Originally from Union, South Carolina, Mrs. Vogel moved to Rock Hill in 2011 to attend Winthrop University – and has called it home ever since. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology, a Master of Arts in Teaching, and a Master of Data Science, and brings with her 10 years of experience in education. Her background includes seven years as a secondary science teacher and three years teaching at the elementary level, where she led intensive literacy instruction and math intervention.

Mrs. Vogel was drawn to classical education because of its commitment to shaping the whole person – mind, heart, and soul.

“Classical education does not just prepare students for tests – it prepares them for life. It trains them to think critically, communicate effectively, and pursue virtue. That kind of education changes lives – and I’m honored to be part of it.”

When she is not in the classroom, Mrs. Vogel enjoys spending time with her family and pets, reading, listening to music, and playing golf. She describes her musical taste as eclectic and often finds that music helps her reset and refocus. A passionate reader, she read over 200 books last year alone. Among her favorites is Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, which she remembers as the first book that truly sparked her love of reading.

We are grateful to welcome Mrs. Vogel to the Grammar School team and look forward to the joy, thoughtfulness, and excellence she will bring to her classroom.
