Meet Our Team: Mr. Anthony Agelire

Mr. Anthony Agelire
STUDENT SERVICES

We are pleased to reintroduce Mr. Anthony Agelire, who continues to serve students as a Special Education Teacher at Ascent Classical Academy.

Mr. Agelire brings 8 years of teaching experience, including last year here at Ascent. He earned his bachelor’s degree in history and a master’s degree in special education from the College of Staten Island in New York. Originally from New York, he and his family moved to Rock Hill in 2022, where they’ve enjoyed putting down roots in the community.

When asked what drew him to classical education, Mr. Agelire explained:

“Classical education places a strong emphasis on virtues, helping to shape individuals into well-rounded, productive members of society. I also love how it emphasizes critical thinking.”

Mr. Agelire names the Bible as his favorite book, calling it “a life map for all situations” and noting its profound influence on Western society. Outside of school, he is a lifelong hockey enthusiast – having played in a men’s league for over 20 years and now coaching for the last seven years.

This school year, Mr. Agelire is eager to help his students “reach their greatest potential both academically and morally.”

We’re grateful to have Mr. Agelire as part of the Ascent team!
