Mr. Philip Loftis
THIRD GRADE

We are excited to welcome Mr. Philip Loftis to the Lower School faculty at Ascent Classical Academy as a 3rd Grade Teacher.

Mr. Loftis is a dedicated educator with years of classroom experience and a deep appreciation for the formative power of classical education. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumental Music Education K–12 from Winthrop University and has worked in both academic and musical settings, helping students develop their understanding through structured, joyful learning.

Mr. Loftis shared what draws him to classical education:

“I am looking forward to developing students’ minds and hearts for the True, the Good, and the Beautiful through growing their knowledge and experience.”

Outside the classroom, he enjoys hiking, going to concerts, reading, and spending time in nature. His favorite book is The Night is Normal by Alicia Britt Chole.

Mr. Loftis brings both joy and structure to his teaching and is excited to help his third-grade students grow in confidence and capability.

Welcome, Mr. Loftis!
