Mrs. Sarah Gualteros
UPPER SCHOOL LATIN AND SCIENCE
We are pleased to welcome Mrs. Sarah Gualteros to the Ascent Classical Academy Upper School faculty, where she will be teaching both Latin and Science.
Originally from Indiana and raised in Greenville, South Carolina, Mrs. Gualteros is no stranger to the region or to the classroom. She earned her undergraduate degree from Belmont Abbey College and her Master’s in Education from Winthrop University. Her career has included work in both traditional academic settings and ministry, and she brings a well-rounded and compassionate approach to her new role.
She was drawn to classical education for its depth and purpose.
“I appreciate the rigorous academic nature through the lens of classic virtues, and the opportunity to serve the whole student through classical content.”
Outside of school, Mrs. Gualteros enjoys spending time with friends and family—especially her three children—and values the balance between learning, character, and community.
One of her favorite books is The Teacher Who Couldn’t Read by John Corcoran, a powerful reminder of the challenges students may face and the impact a committed educator can make.
As she returns to the classroom, Mrs. Gualteros is eager to foster meaningful relationships and support students as they grow in both wisdom and knowledge.
We are delighted to have her join the Ascent community.
