Ms. Isabel PozzoART TEACHER
We’re pleased to reintroduce Ms. Isabel Pozzo, who returns to Ascent Classical Academy as our Art Teacher.
A native of Charlotte, North Carolina, Ms. Pozzo holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Digital Media from UNC Charlotte. She joined our faculty in March 2025 and has quickly become a valued member of our community. Her classical approach to teaching art emphasizes technique, history, and craftsmanship – inviting students to see art not merely as a creative outlet, but as an essential expression of culture and virtue.
“What drew me to classical education,” she shares, “was the emphasis on the importance of art in a well-rounded education – something I feel is often overlooked in traditional models.”
Ms. Pozzo is especially excited to meet new students and reconnect with returning ones this school year. She brings a creative, student-centered approach to the classroom and encourages learners to discover beauty, meaning, and discipline through the visual arts.
When she’s not in the studio or classroom, Ms. Pozzo enjoys pursuing her own art projects – and has a quirky love for all things clown-themed, especially if they’re bright and colorful. Her favorite book is The Catcher in the Rye, which she finds nostalgic and compelling for its vivid character development.
